Our aircraft are currently insured by the AVEMCO Insurance Company.

 

Bodily Injury (Including Occupants and Property Damage Limits of Liability:

 

$100,000 per person / 1,000,000 property damage / $1,000,000 each accident $1,000 medical expenses per person

 

Aircraft Damage (Hull Coverage) as of 3/15/2007:

(less $500 deductible all aircraft)

 

In order for our insurance to be in force, Members must comply with: all Club Bylaws and Procedures (which AVEMCO has copies of), all FAA rules and regulations, and meet the following additional requirements of our insurance policy:

 

For our Club Aircraft

 

  1. May be a named insured (we do not currently have any pilots in this category on our policy)

  2. Commercial pilots in the employ of an FAA approved aircraft repair station in connection with inspections or repairs to be or that have been performed on the insured aircraft; or, by an FAA inspector or any Certificated Flight Instructor while accompanied by an approved pilot for the purpose of instructing that person. 

  3. Any flying club member (The Insurance Company is provided with a list of all flying members annually) who meets all of the following requirements:

  1. Has a current and effective medical certificate (unless a pre-solo student pilot);

  2. Satisfies the FAA's flight review requirements;

  3. Has at least 10 hours in tailwheel-equipped aircraft (if insured aircraft is tailwheel-equipped)

  4. has received a check-out from, and written approval of, a certificated flight instructor in the same make and model as the insured aircraft.
